Hi. I am use Galaxy trail try connect Azure Blob storage but it show Unsupported azure regions: [japanwest]
Feel strange, the catalog should be create first then give cluster , why it will show this error ?
also when create cluster it didn’t point physical location , if i can use Azure blob be the cluster ?
i only has Azure blob but no Azure Data Lake Storage .
Unfortunately, as you can see in Starburst | Using object storage systems, neither Starburst Galaxy or Starburst Enterprise support Azure blob storage; only ADLS.
As for the regions, there are a couple things at play. First, running cross-region support on Starburst Galaxy, Starburst | Cross-region support, is currently in a Private Preview state and you would have to ask for it to be enabled on your account.
Second, without cross-region support you’ll need your cluster and your object-storage to be in the same region. This is mainly a cost issue (especially for our free users). If you need other regions to be added to the option list, you can ask for that.
In Starburst Galaxy, you can raise support questions like these (even the request for blob storage although I doubt that one will go anywhere anytime soon, if ever) by clicking on the little round question mark hovering icon in the lower-right corner of the page.
