We’ll walk through what MCP is, how Starburst exposes data products and SQL endpoints as MCP resources, and how to wire up popular MCP clients (like Claude or ChatGPT Enterprise) to Starburst. From there, we’ll build and iterate on a simple agent that can discover data products, issue governed queries, and run multi-step workflows on top of your lakehouse.

In this office hours session, Starburst expert Lester Martin will walk through how to automate your data pipelines with job scheduling so they run reliably at scale. We’ll explore the data quality checks available. We will implement multiple checks and review them on the monitoring dashboard. 

In this session, we’ll look at why business metadata is so important to conversational analytics and consider what architectural layers are required to deliver it as part of an integrated GenAI Analytics platform. We will look at how these extra requirements deliver capability at the cost of architectural simplicity and consider how Starburst’s integrated analytics platform reduces complexity whilst still providing architectural optionality through open standards.
