Jitender Aswani is the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Security at Starburst, where he leads global engineering and InfoSec teams. With over two decades of experience spanning startups and tech giants, Jitender brings deep expertise in AI & data infrastructure, large-scale distributed systems, and enterprise security.

Prior to Starburst, Jitender held executive roles at Moveworks, Netflix, and Facebook, where he led teams that built cloud-native platforms, AI-powered analytics, and secure infrastructure serving billions of users globally. At Moveworks, he scaled engineering and data science teams from early stage to hyper-growth, launching LLM-powered products and driving 10x ARR growth. At Netflix and Facebook, he led key initiatives in data infra, cloud security, anomaly detection, and data-driven growth.

Jitender holds multiple patents in AI and knowledge graph systems and has a passion for mentoring engineering leaders and building high-impact teams. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.Tech from IIT BHU.
