Ready to begin working with Apache Iceberg but not sure where to start? Join our Icehouse 101 workshop to learn how companies like Netflix, Pinterest, and Apple use the combination of Apache Iceberg and the query engine Trino to power their data platforms. 

Developer Advocate Lester Martin will showcase the advantages of building an Icehouse architecture, the best use cases for the architecture, and tips and tricks for getting started building a data lakehouse with Trino and Apache Iceberg. Lester will lead you in a hands-on lab building your own Icehouse utilizing Starburst Galaxy, the easiest way to get up and running with Icehouse and walk you through how to:

• Create Iceberg tables on top of your Parquet files
• Clean, transform, and optimize the data in your Icehouse 
• Package your gold Iceberg tables into data products
• Set up data optimization jobs like compaction and retention
