Big Data & AI World Frankfurt Free Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

1. By entering the prize draw you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions.
2. The prize draw is being run by Starburst Data.

Eligibility to enter

1. The prize draw is open to entrants over 18 years of age that have registered and attended Big Data & AI World Frankfurt at Messe Frankfurt on May 11-12. Only conference attendees may enter the prize draw. Exhibitors and Starburst employees are excluded from the prize draw.
2. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
3. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
4. The prize draw is free to enter.
5. A valid company email address is required. You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw to be used by Starburst for the purposes of administering the prize draw, and for those purposes as defined within our privacy policy. A valid company email address is required to enter the attendee into the prize draw and to contact the winner.

How to enter

1. To enter the draw you will need to play our Space Quest League game at booth H24 during either the 11 or 12 May at Big Data & AI World Frankfurt taking place in Messe Frankfurt or sign up for a 1-2-1 demo by visiting https://www.starburst.io/info/big-data-ai-world-frankfurt-2022/. Demos must take place on either the 11 or 12 May at Big Data & AI World Frankfurt.
2. Each player will be entitled to three one minute games. The player with the higher score will be given a Global Experiences Card .
3. Other prizes might be made available at the Starburst booth and will be given out by discretion of the Starburst organization.
4. Starburst  shall not be held liable if contact details provided by prize draw entrants are incomplete or inaccurate.

The prize

1. The prize will be a Global Experiences Card.
2. Starburst’s use of particular brands as prizes does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.
3. The winner will be drawn at random.
4. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
5. Starburst reserves the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
6. The decision of Starburst regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

Winner announcement

1. The winner will be notified after 13 May 2022 via the email provided during subscription.
2. Starburst will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner by email up to two times.
3. If the winner does not respond to the emails notifying them of their win within 14 days of the second email, they will lose their right to the prize, and Starburst reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.

Receipt of the prize

1. Please allow 14 days for delivery of the prize or alternative collection or delivery arrangements may be made through mutual agreement.

Data protection and publicity

1. You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by Starburst for the purposes of administering the prize draw, and for those purposes as defined within our privacy policy.
2. The winner agrees to the release of their first name and place of work to any other prize draw participants if requested by Starburst.
3. An announcement of the winners first name and place of work will be made via Starburst’s LinkedIn. By entering the prize draw and winning, the entrant consents to their first name and place of work being shared via the Starburst professional Linkedin account.
4. All personal information shall be used in accordance with Starburst’s Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

1. Starburst does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize.  Starburst makes or promises, representations or warranties about the prize draw or its outcome and shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, exemplary or direct damages of any kind in relation to the prize draw and  participation therein, regardless of the basis of the claim or whether Starburst is negligent or is aware of the possibility of such damages.
2. Starburst does not provide any form of practical or IT support for this prize. On receipt, all responsibilities relating to warranty and the product are that of the prize winner.

General

1. Starburst reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
2. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
